Visiting San Francisco

If you will be spending time in San Francisco during our wedding weekend, we recommend you check out the following places to eat, drink, and explore.

Below are travel tips and logistics for those coming from out of town.

Our Favorite Places To Eat & Drink

Dinner at NOPA

As one of the few sit down restaurants with a kitchen open late, NOPA has been a go-to spot for us to grab dinner and a cocktail after a late night at the office. During the pandemic, we often ordered their take out and prepare at home meals. The NOPA burger and pork chop are our perennial favorites.

Coffee at Andytown

Whenever we could both slip away from our respective offices for an afternoon coffee break, we would walk to the Andytown Coffee in Salesforce park. At home, John’s near hourly espresso habit is primarily fueled by Andytown’s Wind and Sea blend. Give it a shot!

Drinks at The Beehive

Several months before we made things “official” and over two years before he proposed, John told Stacie he thought they were a perfect match and would get married one day. That confession was lubricated by a cocktail (or three) at The Beehive.

Brunch at Zazie

When we moved to Cole Valley in 2020, we became neighbors with one of the most coveted brunch spots in San Francisco. If you are able to snag a table or willing to wait in line, it’s well worth it!

Where You Can Find Us on the Weekends

Exploring Golden Gate Park

Even living within walking distance of Golden Gate Park, we can never get enough. There is something here for everyone: tennis courts, gardens, museums, paddle boats, and, of course, a paddock of buffalos! You can’t see all the attractions the park has to offer in one day, but one of our most memorable early dates was walking the three miles from one end of the park to the other, sharing stories about our families.

Browsing an Independent Bookstore

If you check out our photo gallery, you will see that John proposed in front of Shakespeare & Co, the oldest independent bookstore in Paris. While you’re in San Francisco, consider visiting City Lights, another famous independent book institution and a sister store to Shakespeare & Co.
